Teaching my oldest (6 years old) to read has been more fun than I could have imagined. Once he has learned to be an independent reader, he can go and learn and do anything he wants. It's like seeing him unwrap a present (very slowly!). Today, he put what he has learned into practice and did a scavenger hunt for me. I love this boy!
1. Mom, go to the backyard.
2. Mom, go upstairs
3. Mom, to to Aaron's Room
4. A pillow for me to rest!
